Welcome! This blog is the online presence of the Youth Sunday school class at Rolling Hills United Methodist Church. I think Jesus would have liked to blog. He liked having followers. Check out Matthew 4:18-20 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%204:18-20&version=TNIV). Here's what Jesus said to two fishermen, Peter and Andrew, when he met them for the first time by the Sea of Galilee:
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people." -Matt. 4:19 (TNIV)
Know what else Jesus would have liked? Facebook. This way he wouldn't have had to had a bunch of disciple dudes go around the world for him like in Matthew 28:19 when Jesus told his disciples to "go and make disciples of all nations"(http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+28:19&version=TNIV). He could spread God's love all over the world while sitting on his couch.
ReplyDeleteHa! I hear you, Adrienne. I do think there are some things better done face to face. Paul said that when you looked at Jesus, you could see "God's glory displayed in the face of Christ"! -2 Corinthians 4:6 I'm not sure how that works on Facebook ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a Fav Psalm. Will share tonite. Gotta go work for my food (* thanks, Adam).
ReplyDeleteMs. Deb
Great Job! But, be sure to add a link from the main RHUMC web site to the Youth Blog so people can find it!
ReplyDeleteA fav Psalm -- Well this is not a favorite, but Ps 105 fits with the current study of Genesis. It summarizes the history of Israel from Abraham through the exodus.
Keep up the innovating work!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Psalm is 117 as it is the shortest of all the Psalms.
Does anyone know the longest?
